So last Saturday we had the kick-off party--we had a forty man and woman marching band down at Blue Gans, and another band inside, and a group of people doing the traditional dance. jordan has had the opportunity to be in the american fork marching band. they went 2 years ago to the macey's day parade on thanksgiving in new york city! he left part of his heart there and is so excited to get back east some day!
i think it's great that the american fork high marching band is doing a patriotically-themed show this year. according to the news article found here, they have a tradition of playing patriotic themes for parade performances.
